It's glucosamine and chondroitin. They work in 70 % on the people who take them. There are more on the market but I'm unsure of their names. My mother and girlfriends swear by them. We even gave them to our arthritic dog and the change was incredible and everyone knows that doggies don't lie. There has been alot of research done to support their use. I took them for my pain without any benefit but it was determined that my pain was neurological.Health Question & Answer
The issue with supplements is that there is little scientific proof that supports their effectiveness. I have used several that have brought me mixed results. If you are so inclined, you may want to give it a try. Health Question & Answer
