Is it free to see a doctor in a walk-in clinic in canada?!
Question: Is it free to see a doctor in a walk-in clinic in canada.?
I have been on birth control for four months now, and have been going to the family planning clinic. My problem with them is, the hours don't work around my school schedule so I thought I'd be better off going to a clinic. My parents do not approve of birth control, so basically I'm on my own on this. So I was just wondering if it cost anything to see a doctor in a walk in clinic. I have my alberta health card. When I went to Family Planning, their birth control costs were very low. Where can I get cheap prescriptions filled when I get the prescription from the doctor.? Thanks!Health Question & Answer

In Ontario, you just show your Health Card at the walk-in clinic and that's it. No fee.
I'm not sure where in Alberta you can get cheaper prescriptions. Tell the doctor you see at the clinic about your situation and maybe they'll know of some local places.Health Question & Answer
