i just started yaz birth control and i am on my 2nd pack of pills. i am having extremely bad breakthrough bleeding/spotting. can birth control be the cause of this, if i know that i am not pregnant.?Health Question & Answer

Yep. I had the same thing with Yaz. It sucks and you need to try something else. Unfortunately, that formula doesn't work well with your body and you'll have to use a different type (I liked Ortho-Evra or Ortho-Tricyclen). I had breakthrough bleeding for a month straight with Yasmin and I felt so bad. So, stop using it and ask your doctor for something else. Good luck! It could be, are you taking it everyday at the same time of the day.? If not, that is probabyl why for sure, try taking it at the same time everyday. If you are taking it properly it could be your body adjusting to all the hormones!
