Question: I just got a POSITIVE home pregnancy test-it's 8 days before my period is supposed to start! Is this possible.?
My cycle is very regular -well, some times it is 27 days, and sometimes 28 days... But I consider that regular - right.? So, my last period started on Oct. 7th (we had unprotected sex on the 5th, 2 days before my period) then we had unprotected sex on Oct. 16th (11 days after my period) and again on Oct. 19th (13 days after my period) - Now, today is Oct. 27th, and my next period is due on Nov. 3rd, and this morning I got a VERY positive test - I mean that line popped right up, and it's not a faint line - it's just as big or bigger than the other line next to it.
How is this possible.? It's still 8 days until my period, and everywhere I read says the home pregnancy test can't come back positive that soon!!! Health Question & Answer

it depends you could be pregnant and your body may be setting off quite a high amount of pregnancy hormones that tests have to pick up so if you have got quite a high amount of hormones then the test will pick it up this early.
if you are definitely pregnant then congratulations.
i would say just wait until your period starts (if it starts) and see what happens or go to the doctor explain that you have done a test and it says positive and that it is 8 days before your period and see what they say.

actually pregnancy tests are so sensitive, they can show a positive just a four or five days after conception.
if you didn't want to get pregnant, you should've used protection, and by protection i mean a condom or be on birth control EVERY time you have sex. so....hope this is what you were wanting.Health Question & Answer

If I were you I'd wait and retest if your period doesn't appear. also, to be safe, don't go out partying until you know for sure. good luck!Health Question & Answer

You've been pregnant for 11 days now! You are almost 2 weeks pregnant!!! I don't know a lot about pregnancy tests, but I think that they can tell at 2 weeks. You need to make appointments for prenatal care and start planning for a new arrival. Even if it is a false positive, it sounds like you are trying pretty hard to have a baby. It's going to happen. Obviously, you already had quite a suspection or you wouldn't have used the pregnancy test when you didn't think it could tell.Health Question & Answer
