Can an ultrasound miss cysts or an enlarged ovary?!


Question: Can an ultrasound miss cysts or an enlarged ovary.?
In August, I had an ultrasound done because of severe pelvic pain during my periods and the lower left quadrant of my abdomen was protruding and aching. The ultrasound came back normal, but I still feel like something is wrong, because my doctor never told me why my left side sticks out a little. Should I get a second opinion.?Health Question & Answer
