The cup i think. If it was the straps that supported the breasts, then a strapless bra wouldn't support you..

The back strap and the bra straps support and lift the breasts respectively. The Cup also offers support with the shape and wiring of it, also with the material it is made of.
It is important that you get the correct cup for your breasts otherwise the bra might dig in giving you double breasts (bulging) or if it is too big your breasts will flop about in the cup and not be adequately supported.
I suggest you get measured at the lingerie shop. Bear in mind different shops have different brands of bra which may make your size change from shop to shop. For example, be a 32 C in one shop but a 34 B in another. Get measured in each shop you try.Health Question & Answer
