Actually, the rule wouldn't apply in this case ANYWAY! They are tennis shoes and there is not rule for tennis. Go ahead!
But the white after Labor Day isn't just observed by old ladies. I practice it faithfully. For serveral reasons: white shoes make your feet look huge, white shoes get dirty easily, there are several more appropriate ways to wear white in the winter time, and finally that is the BEST way nto cheapen an outfit.
