What is the highest recorded human body temperature?!

Question: I had a temp of 40.8 C in a recent trip to hospital.the nurse taking the measurement said it was the highest she'd ever seen - have I got a (unwanted!) record?! And, incidentally, does anyone know at what temp the body really starts having "problems"?!

Your temp 40.8C is 105.4F. The highest one I ever took was 105.2. The body can start having seizures around 105. I hope you're feeling better now. Keep resting and drinking a lot of fluids.
