Why are people so mean?!

I think a lot of people who are mean dont have a very good childhood and arent shown much love so they dont know how to care about others. That's no excuse though, cos some people who come from a bad background still have the strength to come through and be good people, but unfortunately there are those who arent so smart. Plus the world has got very superficial and some people cant see beyond what they want to buy.
people who are mean are compensating for something they dont or didnt have.
People who were bullied around as kids- as soon as they become the one that can bully, they will.
So there are many reasons, but over all it has to do with self esteem issued, and compensating.
Filling in theoretical gaps.
and to some extent, some people just have the evil in them. but mostly that evil is exacerbated by lousy childhoods.
