Just curious, why must the scientist HAVE cystic fibrosis?

Note: I don't think there is any prejudice against scientists with Cystic Fibrosis. You can't just "open" a lab. Most are within universities. I mean since you are asking here, I'm assuming you want to open a lab on your own.
