Should I take protein when trying to lose weight?!

Question: Should I take protein when trying to lose weight.?
I am wanting to get the lean muscle look, but I am afraid if I keep taking protein while working out and trying to lose weight I will get a "stocky" look. So should I stop taking protein while trying to lose weight or does it even matter.?Health Question & Answer

i been working out off and on for a couple of years i started 15 & im 18 now. right now i am taking whey protein before and after i work out. i am trying to do the same thing you are doing but the thing is , you have to do cardio with the workout. before i hit the weights i run for half a mile & do elliptical for like 10 min ( i have a big butt, got it from my daddy) but anyways . then i hit the weights and after all that i run again. So here's the deal

1. Drink Protein before and after ( no later than 15 mins after )
2. include cardio in your workout
3. Be Determined

I have been doing this for a week now and i promise you i have seen changes. i am more cut now and feel great.Health Question & Answer

eating protein doesn't automatically build muscle. The only way to build muscle with the help of protein so to do alot of heavy-weight strenuous activities. Cardio is a great way to lose weight, and it mostly burns fat, strengthens muscles, and lengthens them (because of continuous stretching and contracting actions of muscles), it will build muscle, but nothing bulky.

Protein will help you stay full. You're daily diet should be made up of

55% Carbs
30% Fats
15% Proteins

Try whole wheat pastas, 98% or less fat chicken, yogurts, vegetable stir-fry's, all-bran cereal, wraps, brown sprouted rice, wild salmon (farmed salmon has too much mercury), and berries.Health Question & Answer
