Muscles are still a little sore/tight from yesterdays workout; should i still workout today or not?!


Question: Muscles are still a little sore/tight from yesterdays workout; should i still workout today or not.?
I usually alternate days between push-ups and weights, yesterday was push-ups. My muscles are a little sore, but nothing i don't think i can work through. I eat A LOT of protein so my recovery time is fast. Should i do weights today or wait another day.?Health Question & Answer


Answers:
NEVER work the same muscles twice in a row. Working out is simply breaking down and tearing your muscle fibers. Your arms are sore because they're being repaired. It's good that you eat a lot of protein, but excess protein turns to fat. There's a specific formula for knowing how much protein you need. I just forgot what it was.

Anyway, don't work a muscle group twice in a row. Your muscles need time to repair. If you work arms one day, do legs the next or back or chest. Abs, on the other hand, can be worked everyday.

And by saying twice in a row, I mean working a muscle group one day, then working them the next day.Health Question & Answer
