panic attacks are usually more related to trouble with breathing.
could have been a migraine.

do you take a pill for allergies.?
antihistamines such as diphenhydramine hci found in benadryl and other over the counter medications can cause such things along with the drowsyness. its a less common side effect and it is harmless.
