Does muscle affect the process of growing up in the bones?

I am 17 and when i used to work out i was in late 16 . i uesd to work out for five months only pulling up my body not weight lifting .but i had bigger mase then (175cm/75kg) so i made some traps and biceps and triceps bigger then my mates .So I wonder did working out was bad idea an do muscles affect on the bone growing process although I gew up 3 cm ? Please tell me!!!!!!

yes, my highschool gym teacher told me that working out hard to build muscle while you are too young may alter bone growth.

i would suggest you stretch your muscles all the time so that they are never stiff

The muscles do somewhat stop you from growing. they affect the bones with a constant pressure. but if u didnt gain that much weight, i wont be bad at all.
If you begin to power lift or just lift heavy constantly you can cause problems on your growth plates, which can impead your growth. But it does not sound that you are doing this. I would not worry about it too much. You have about 2 more years of growing to do so don't worry about it.
