Answers:
Support is important during athletic activity, and loose like boxers is good for comfort and hanging in or chilling out!

I rarely wear any, except for athletic reasons, and I wear the boxer briefs then.. I wear them for sex too! My Lady likes the look of them........ so should I shove it.? Heehe!

For support, go with the same size, cuz the sizing is based on yur waste size, which takes the other factors into account like body waiste to crotch length, and bum size.. If you are really flat bummed, you might want go down a size, but that's so uncommon, except for an older Dude..

Going down from yur actual size can turn out to be too tight on the thigh muscle area, and if yur athletic, yur thighs are probably developed..

Hope that helps some
