Question: What would be the best workout to gain weight in muscle for a thirteen year old.?
I'm thirteen I'm pretty skinny.. I'm going into the eighth grade this year.. I'm going to Central Catholic in PGH PA and I want to play football for them.. I just want to know how to get a head start because my dad wants me to start working out too..Health Question & Answer

You can start workin out.. But avoid heavy weights that bodybuilders use to build mass quickly.. You are still growing and your growth plates haven't closed yet.. Extremely heavy weight lifting can stunt your growth..

You can still gain muscle mass tho.. Just a bit slower than you might like..

Eat a lot of carbs and proteins (especially after a workout).. And don't eat crappy foods like fast food or junk foods.. A good diet is just as important as excecising..Health Question & Answer

if you want muscle, you need to have fat.. Sumo wrestlers often eat a lot of food and immediately take a nap so that active moment doesn't burn off the fat from the food you eat.. Once you gain a healthy amount of weight ( not like a gain of 10 pounds ) and then full on weights..
