Yes in fact they do:The HIV virus began not in humans but in monkeys..They were haunted for their flesh and occasionally some one got bitten by one of them,whilst the animal was bleeding:which got into contact with that person's wound:voila:your first aids victim..Who of course had several wives and got them and pregnant and gave them the infection too:And since distances are no problems any more it spread worldwide..

They do, and it is suspected that human std's originated from stupid human animal interaction way back in the dark ages..
It is suspected that Gonerea came from sheep, Syphilis came from camels, and HIV virus came from the African Green monkey..
Where people have multiple partners, these spread logarithmically, and not linear as one to one only..
