Ok, this is weird, but details on vasectomy procedure?!

Question: Ok, this is weird, but details on vasectomy procedure.?
Definitely not getting one anytime soon, just wondering, if they snip the vas deferens tube that delivers the sperm during intercourse, when you're having intercourse, where does the sperm go.? Does it just go through the cut tube anyway and spill or what.? Sorry, this is very weird, but I'm not sure exactly how that works..Health Question & Answer

First of all, don't listen to anyone that has never had a vasectomy.. They have no clue..

Sperm don't just sit in your testicles waiting for an orgasm.. Sperm are actually made 24 hours a day.. They travel to the Epididymis, where they mature.. As new sperm are made, they push the mature ones down the tubes.. They travel to the seminal vesicles.. When you orgasm, a small valve opens and the sperm get mixed with part of your semen.. Then the semen is mixed with a white substance from your prostate.. The resulting fluid gets expelled out you know were..

You can't have sex 24 hours a day, so most of the sperm die and get re-absorbed by your body.. Only about 2% ever get ejaculated..

Once you have a vasectomy the vas tubes are cut, and blocked.. The sperm do not get to mix with the other fluids, so your semen will contain no sperm..

To answer your question about where all the sperm go.......... The same place they aways went..

I did my homework at the library before I ever had my vasectomy (back in 1989, when I was 21).. I am happily 42, and child free!Health Question & Answer

Ive had a vasectomy.. A man with a vasectomy still ejaculates seminal fluid but the fluid contains no viable sperm..

The testicles still produce sperm and still prduce testosterone.. The sperm, with nowhere to go, are re-absorbed by the body.. Your body wastes nothing it can use.. It turns the sperm back into food energy...... just like if you don't use your muscles they will deplete because your body will consume them for food energy..

The vas deferens is cut and tied off.. There are two vas deferens one for each testicle.. Both are cut and tied..

The seminal fluid comes from various glans which remain connected to your urinary system.. The only way to tell if the seminal fluid from a man who has had a vasectomy contains sperm is to examine it under a microscope..

Following the procedure, it can take a couple of months to "clear the pipework" of sperm..Health Question & Answer
