Why can I only bench 3 sets of 8 reps of 30kg? I thought I was pretty strong...?!


Question: Why can I only bench 3 sets of 8 reps of 30kg.? I thought I was pretty strong.......?
I started the gym a few days ago, and can do an average sort of weight on the chest press, and pretty much all of my other muscle groups are quite strong (except maybe triceps) but whenever I try and do bench press I can only do sets of 8 reps of 30kg otherwise I just get exhausted!

This could be due to a lotta reasons.. Try doing the bench press as your first exercise next time and see if you can go more reps..

But actually 8 reps is good.. Try for 9 next time.. And every time you bench again try to add a rep.. When you get to 10 then up the weight.. You will maybe drop to 6 reps then.. But then just try adding one rep each time and follow the same process.. You will soon be benchin a lot more dude..Health Question & Answer

u rpobably are strong but ur probably the kind of person dat uses his whole body to be strong
and ur arms could just not be as strong

dont worry about that over time you will get stronger ( i bench press 215 pounds squat 600 but only power cling 135 ) so dont worry you will get stronger over time and dont listen to the other guy about protien just eat 3 large helthy meals and it shoud be fineHealth Question & Answer
