Why is masturbation frowned upon?!

Well, some people think it's part of their religions NOT to masturbate, though the Bible never says that.. But since to them it's considered a sin, people have kinda gone with the flow.. Plus, all the dirty jokes and stuff about masturbation.. Makes you not want to admit to it! It sucks....but thats just how it is huh.?
It's nothing to be ashamed of, yet a majority of us are ashamed about it anyway, just because the idea itself is not exactly "socially acceptable"..
I don't see anything wrong with masturbation--I support it even..
But I myself have difficulty admitting to it..

The Catholic perspectave of masturbation is that it is a sin.. They believe this because it is wrongful stimulation of the genitals and stimulation of the genitals is to only happen in sexual intercourse between married couples.. Because it is a personal thing......a lot like sex.. Chances are your more likely to hear your parents at the dinner table talking about how work was today and not what positions in bed they love best..

also, some people are just shy about talking about it.. I have never heard any of my buddy's say "Hey, I'll be right back guys, I need to go jerk off real quick"......lol, it's kinda funny but its true..
