in my local gym, i noticed that guys like to sit completely naked in the hot tub inside the locker room...... is this okay.? will it carry germs across.? same thing in the steam room...... is it easy to spread germs if i sit on the bench after another guy.......?Health Question & Answer

Generally there is hot enough water in a hot tub to kill anything, so it's not a problem there.. Sitting your naked butt down where another guy's naked butt sat- isn't the toilet seat the same situation.? I have sat on toilet seats all my life, and I am not a stickler for sanitary (paper) seat covers or anything.. So far I have never gotten anything from a toilet seat.. I usually sit on a towel in a sauna simply because the benches are too hot for my tender tush, but that's a different matter altogether.. Plus I think the sauna, like the hot tub, is way above the temperature to kill the germs..Health Question & Answer
