Neither of you know what you're doing, so 7 minutes was a good start..
BUT, if you're not satisfied, and I doubt that you were, 7 minutes is crap time.. And you were aware enough to be timing him instead of enjoying sex..
What I suggest is that both of you get the other to come BEFORE you have intercourse.. Oral sex, him first and then on you will make sure that you have an orgasm..
