Depends what kind of laxative - if it's a Grade-A Stimulant-Irritant (senna, cascara, bisacodyl etc) you can expect stomach cramps followed by a sudden mad dash to the toilet and possible diarrhea.. If it's a stool sofetner or fiber supplement you won't particularly notice it when its working, only when it reaches the end of the line..
If it's only been one day, though, you don't really need to take a laxative.. Give it another day or two making sure you eat and drink the right stuff, then take something if you still can't do a doo.. (Unless you have some major illness and need to keep your bowels empty, in which case something more rapid like an enema or suppository is more appropriate)Health Question & Answer

It starts out as just poop and then gets wetter and more liquidy and at the end of it its just you peeing out your ***, I had it by accident once, its really not very much fun at all..Health Question & Answer
