actully, if u have protected sex you probubly wont smell it at all.. unprotected sex you may smell it but likely only if it ends up near your face because it isnt a strong odor.. and just as with most body odor, different people will smell different (and in this case also taste different).. If your husband/boyfriend drinks fruit juice or eats alot of fruit it can (but not always) change the smell and taste making it sweeter.. hope that helpsHealth Question & Answer

It doesn't have a strong smell at first, but as it dries/gels (semen thickens up to help protect the sperm in the vagina, which has a pH that can kill the sperm cells) it smells a bit like chlorine..
It usually tastes a little bitter, but one of the fellows I was with had little flavor at all.. When it gets on my skin it gives me a very faint and painless rash, either from the hormones or the phosphates.. (No comments about STIs-- all of my lovers have been completely healthy, as am I..)
I agree with the other posters though-- use a condom and don't come in contact with it until he's been tested.. Once you're sexualy active, you should get tested for common STIs regularly too.. Take care of yourself!Health Question & Answer

No, it really does have a smell..
