how do i know if i have ed.? i'm 18 and i can masturbate and ejaculate no problem but it doesn't stay hard for long unless i pump the whole time and then there are times that it will stay rock hard.... when i'm with my girlfriend she gets it up by pumping but when she stops it goes half staff is this ed.? or is there a simpler issue here.?Health Question & Answer

It can be stress related or anxiety related or a lack of excitement.. There also can be medical reasons for ED such as, diabetes, high blood pressure, groin injuries that were sustained at a younger age, spinal injuries such as a disk problem and also nicotine and alcohol..
The list can be endless and it's NOT uncommon for younger guys to have ED.. They tend more frequently NOT to talk about it..
Look over the causes that I gave you and see if any fit.. It might be worth consulting your doctor for a complete exam and blood work..

drinking can cause this, so can drug use and so can illnesses.. a doctors appointment might be the best answer here.. yeah, its embarrassing to talk to a Doctor about this stuff but they have the answer..
