How is this possible? (Height Question)!

Question: How is this possible.? (Height Question)
I have 2 cousins, and theyre 6'2.. Their parents are around 5'4.. How did they get WAY taller than their parents.? I thought it was genes from your parents that control height Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Height is governed primarily by genetics.. Nutrition also has an effect.. Genetic characteristics can skip generations.. If any their grandparents were tall they could have inherited genes for their height from them.. It is genes.. But you get genes from both parents and their genes are from THEIR parents.. So your cousins may have gotten their height from grandpa or great grandma.. Can also vary quite a bit even among brothers and sisters.. My dad was about 5'9 and his brother was 6'3.. Two sisters were 5'8 and two were just barely above 5'.. Health Question & Answer
