Is 5'11" short??? I ask this because... ?!

Question: Is 5'11" short.?.?.? I ask this because...... .?
my sister's new boyfriend (who is 5'5") upon seeing me (I'm about 5'11") looked up at me and said I looked short.. I was like what the hell.? Has he ever looked at himself.?.?.?

Question; Can 5'11" be considered as short.? Have you ever been criticised by someone who has even less/is lacking even more.?
