You need to have a conversation with a son about how his body is changing and give him a hint of what he can expect.. It's better if he hears this stuff from you than from a lot of guys at school who don't necessarily have all the facts..
Start by telling your son that he may find some of what you are going to tell him a bit embarassassing or weird for a guy his age, but this is normal and you understand since you went through the same thing when you were growing up.. Tell him part of becoming a man is overcoming discussing things between father and son..
Then start telling him the facts of life in a straightforward manner and tell him if he has any questions the best guy is ask is his father -- even if feels embarssassed to ask.. Assure him that anything you two discuss will be between the two of you and you will not make fun of him or think he is asking a stupid question..
Remind him there are no stupid questions only stupid answers -- and since you are the one answering, tell him you are the only one who might look silly if you don't know an answer.. If you don't know, tell him you can find a book for guys his age to answer their questions and then go buy one for him..
