My penis has quite large blue veins in the foreskin. Is this a problem? And can/how do I get rid of them?!

Question: My penis has quite large blue veins in the foreskin.. Is this a problem.? And can/how do I get rid of them.?
I am nearly 17 yrs old, and my penis is uncircumcised has large blue veins in the foreskin.. They have been there for as long as I can remember.. Are they a problem.? And if so how do I fix this.?

As well as this when i pull my foreskin back it only reveals a small circle of the glans (about 5mm in diameter).. Is this a problem.? And if so how do I fix it.?

Cheers for any advice I appreciate it..Health Question & Answer

The veins are normal..

Of more concern is that it sounds like you cannot fully retract your foreskin.. You need to be able to retract your foreskin with relative ease all the way behind your glans.. If you cannot fully retract your foreskin it is called phimosis..

This is a problem because you need to clean under your foreskin once a day to prevent skin problems.. And if you can't easily pull your foreskin back, when it does get pulled back (for example, during an erection) your foreskin may get stuck behind your glans.. And that is a medical emergency where you need to go to an emergency room....

Nothing to get hung up about but you do need to talk to your doctor, school nurse/health clinic.. It is a common problem as uncircumcised men get older and especially after puberty.. Your penis gets physically larger and sometimes the foreskin opening doesn't adjust enough to allow easy retraction..

The solution is easy and they will either show you how to stretch the opening or, in some cases, they need to make a very small incision to create more room.. If you DON'T take care of it NOW, you may end up beng forced to get circumcised--or worse..

Oh, and when females who are not medical professionals try to tell you how to take care of your dick, tell them to go away..........Health Question & Answer

The veins are normal...... large arteries direct blood into the penis........ this blood flow is restricted whihc causes an erection...... the blood leaving the penis goes through those veins you can see on the outside..

Your foreskin is tight.. You could try to stretch.... pull on your foreskin (while flaccid) in the shower every day...... over a period of time.... a month or two, you will see some progress with respect to revealing your glans.. You neednt rush...... if it takes you 4 months, it is still worth doing..Health Question & Answer

The blue veins are like the ones in your arms and legs get a suntan and you won't see them.. As for rolling back the foreskin I'm no expert there try lubricant on the end then keep rolling it back till the entire head is exposed or till it gets uncomfortable.. Health Question & Answer
