I have done this once.. To be honest, she asked me if it bothered here and I told her no, because when you're trying to have fun you're not gonna let something like that stop you.. Honestly, I'd say it depends on whether it's a random hook-up or if it's someone you actually care about.. I don't think it is gross at all.. If you and your partner are comfortable with it then do it.. I would not want to try it if my wife were in an uncomfortable phase of her period.. I have heard people say that having intercourse during a period helped cramps and decreased flow.. It really is an individual thing..
