Question: Can i combine 2 weights and still get the effect of one weight with the same amount weight as the 2 weights.?
i started strength training and i use to always use 8 pound weights because i was really weak then i moved it up to ten pounds now im use to those , do you think if i tie my 8 pound weights with my 10 pound weights will i get the same effect from the lifting those weights as if i just had actual 18 pound weights .? i can push myself to handling 8 more pounds.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
yes, weights add together.

If you had barbells with weight plates, that is exactly the same approach - you stack weight plates on the barbell to add up to the total weight you want.Health Question & Answer
