The condition is called Bashful Bladder (Paruresis). It is usually (not 100% of the time, but most times) a psychological condition. It isn't shame internalized as much as fear that someone else will see your penis and make fun of it - combined with an anxiety disorder.

For mild cases (which I think yours is), simple reassurance is enough. Knowing logically that there is no reason for the fear - many people can overcome it by positive reinforcement of self (look yourself in the mirror naked and say something like "I love my body, and I love my penis. I am not ashamed of it nor embarrassed by it, I am proud of it" three times, each morning. Repeat the same thing silently to yourself when you try to use a urinal. ) One day after a couple of months of treatment, or less -- a squirt will come out and shut off -- 6 weeks later, a short stream. A few weeks after that, you will be able to urinate if no one is there, and then within a few months more, you will be cured and be able to urinate just like everyone else.

As I said, I do not think it is just shame -- you have nothing to be ashamed of, no one cares what size any penis is soft -- and if your is 2.5 inches soft, I'll bet its at least average hard (hard for an adult male, 90% of penises are between 4.5 and 7 inches). However, I am in the minority that thinks that Paruresis has a fairly standard development curve. I don't know, but I suspect that when you were young your parent(s) told you that your penis was dirty and no one should see it -- and told you this enough to lead you to dislike showing it in public. I think that is the usual reason -- too much privacy and too much shame by others when you are young.

In any event, if the treatment I suggest doesn't work, I suggest a counselour -- it is curable.

You are WONDERFUL!!!! Remember that.

much unlike using your private bathroom at home, you might feel violated if another guy looks upon you. its a normal feeling, its really nothing to do with the size of your penis, there is always going to be one large, or smaller, nothing wrong with using a stall to fell comfortable..Health Question & Answer

It is in your head (the one on your shoulders). Use a stall if it bothers you. All men "check each other out" and they're not all gay either. And don't worry so much about the size of your piece. If it works and is healthy any potential partner will be cool with it.

After a few years you'll learn not to give a sh!t if there is someone else next to you when pissing.Health Question & Answer
