Worked out for almost 2 hours in the gym?!

Question: Worked out for almost 2 hours in the gym.?
i usually lift weights for like an hour, maybe an hour and fifteen minutes. no more than that...
i workout for 2 days (different muscles everyday) and then i take a 2 day break.
well today i kinda had an off day. i lost track of time and it turned out to be about an hour and forty five minute workout, maybe almost two hours. (i took longer breaks than usual, and juss walked around a bit)
i know that it was just one day, but will this do any harm to my muscles.? like will muscles shrink in size from just one day of over doing it.?
someone please help...

btw..im trying to GAIN muscle, not lose weight.

thanks in advance. Health Question & Answer

Fitness is a cumulative thing. There is no one thing you can do wrong once or twice (short of serious injury) that will really mess up your end results. If you're good 90%+ of the time, you're doing just fine. So you were a little slow one day, big deal. Think of how many workouts you do a year. Health Question & Answer

It depends on what you were doing and how hard you were doing it. If it was heavy lifting, then you may want to take a couple days off and lift lighter weight the next couple of times if you are worried about. You should be good though. Take lots of protein, and water to help repair. NO SUPPLEMENTS, they are too dangerous.Health Question & Answer

Here's a slightly different topic but it might prove useful-
Try doing supersets in your workout (google it)
also, when I workout I've found that if I hold a position for a count of say three seconds (ie when doing curls, hold the bar/dumbbell about halfway up and hold it for a few seconds. Does that make sense.?)
