Question: A question on guys locker room.?
sometimes i wonder, why is the guys locker room everything is out in the open (change area; showers etc), but for the girls my gf told me they have private change area, private shower stalls etc. I don't mind everything in the open as we're guys but sometimes i just wonder why.? thanks!Health Question & Answer

A guess only but men in general walk proud as a peacock (no pun intended) But you know we guys tend to parade and are more comfortable showing what we got i think more than girls which is why even in public restrooms there are stand up urinals and less toilets. Men in general are less conservative when it comes to nudity. Even in the old Roman times public baths were common. Some rituals still remain. Health Question & Answer
Probably because guys locker rooms are much more of a tradition than changing rooms for women . Not that many years ago women did not compete at sports and only a very few went swimming even (50 or 60 years ago) On the other hand guys have competed at sports for much longer and the locker room became a tradition . It just took the ladies a while to catch up , or be allowed to catch up in truth and when they did we were in an era where they wanted more privacy

Because of the MACHO culture of the Americas. Men can change together because all we know what each other have. I don't see the problem but i know other guys don't like. In some places women change also all together so this is not exclusively for males. Health Question & Answer
Guys designed all of them- so they do the open format for guys and provide more privacy for women- who may have period issues they need to address and would prefer to do that in private. Health Question & Answer
