to bulk up i need to do heavier weights yea
im 16 i do 10kg dumbells but i do 3sets of 50 ea arm will that help me get bigger biceps or tone them.?.?.? my freind his 16 also does 20kg but 2 sets of 10 ea arm so to bulk up do i do heavier weights or less with more reps.?Health Question & Answer

Do less reps of heavier weights to bulk up, lots of reps of smaller weights will tone you up rather than add bulk.
You should warm up doing 10-12 reps of a light weight, just to get your muscles going, then do around 8 on the heaviest weight you can do whilst still keeping correct form. then Reduce the weight slightly and do 8 or so more.Health Question & Answer

7-8 reps is what bodybuilders use to get cut. If you want to get big: Do your first set with a weight where you can do six reps. Increase the weight on the next sets to where you can do 5 or 4...then 3. You have to constantly increase the weight when you can. I see plenty of guys in the gym doing the same weight over and over.
