Haha. I'm a girl in weight training. And that is normal. it starts out hard because it is your first time. you get stronger and stronger. the next time you go and bench. That 50 pounds will feel like light weight.

a bench press uses a very isolated set of muscles, in a way to which you obviously are not accustomed, it has nothing to with how strong you are over all.
I bench 300 pounds, but it took me eight years of concentrated weight training with a coach to get to that point. Give yourself a break, do it right, build slowly.Health Question & Answer

Bench pressing uses a different set of muscles to lifting weights, so if you only do that, then the muscles you use for bench pressing wont be as strong

dont sweat it bigun, if youve never done push ups you can only do a few, after a few weeks you can do many, same same, start slow and work yer way up. lots of reps and small increases gives tone and strength, heavy weight less reps blast you up, but if you aint goin fer "Mr.U" is basically worthless. wats your shoe size.? never mind ill ask again in 5 yrs.Health Question & Answer

nah...it is a little less than what most guys do. all you need to do is practice more...it will make you gain a lot more muscle

i used the bench press for 3 weeks, went from 95 lbs to 105 lbs

just keep practicing. im 15, 5'8 and 150 lbs and bench press all of the time. i can lift 150 lbs(same as my body weight. just keep working out and lift more weights!Health Question & Answer
