Question: I have searched everywhere and I don't know what's wrong....?
I am starting to become sexually active. Part of the times I don't get erections even when she touches it.(Sometimes I do though) Lately I have noticed that I don't wake up with morning erections like I used to.(maybe twice a week). I have a very high sex drive. All I ever think about is sex. I have also noticed that I only get about 1 erection a day now. Another thing I have noticed is my erections are sometimes not hard. My penis lengthens but it does get as hard as what it used to. I have been having these problems for about 3 months now.

First off I am ashamed to say i am 16 and I am experiencing these problems. About a year ago I could not keep it down. I have searched everywhere about the causes of erection problems and I don't have any of them. I am a very healthy athletic guy. Can anyone suggest what is wrong with me. I know a lot of my friends think they are weird because they always have erections when they wake up. I know I should be the same way.

HAVE YOU GOT ANY suggestions on what is wrong and what herbs I can take to increase the blood flow in the penis. I have did research and I have seen that L-Arginine, Ginkgo Biloba, & Maca are great products to make erections harder and longer lasting. Please do not say to get Viagra or Cialis or anything like that. I am too young and I can still get really hard erections when I masturbate for about 2 minutes. first thing is never be ashamed about your body, its not healthy and it will add more stress to you.

Second is it might just be a phase (as other people said) but personally I think there could be something else going on. Viagra doesnt solve anything it just makes you dependant on something to do the work for you.

I'm a naturopath and herbalist and have had some good results with the following things:

Are your stress levels high.? (high pressure at school/home/work) or are there problems sleeping/nightmares etc.? If there is you need to get on a nice strong B complex with at least 50mg of the Bs in it. Take 1 every day.

Are you anxious/ do you get panic attacks.? If so, go to your health shop and get on a relaxing herbal mixture such as lemonbalm/skullcap/passionflower and calcium/magnesium. If you're in australia get on TNP's Tranquil Calm Max.

Those two things will address the nervous system. As for the sexual system, yes you could look at herbs such as ginkgo, damiana, goat weed etc. Ginkgo improves circulation so if you get cold hands/feet, or foggy head it would be a good one. The others are more of a sexual tonic. Nutra Life (again in Australia) do a product called Herbal Y for men, its pretty good, but I would suggest trying the first 2 things for a month to see if there is improvement as theyre adressing the underlying issue.

If you do not get enough sleep, then sometimes you may not have morning wood.

Sounds like it may just be a phase you're going through. You are right in the middle of puberty & your male sex hormones start racing from one end of the spectrum to the other & they are trying to figure out when they should come in for a landing. You might be ready for a growth spurt any day now & things will do some more changing. Some you will understand & some you won't. Just hang in there. Everything will fall into place in due time.
