Boyfriend is taking prescribed testosterone?!

Question: Boyfriend is taking prescribed testosterone.?
He is at his 30s and we normally make love 1 to 3 times a week. As far as I know, he is healthy and strong like a normal 30 year old guy. Just recently I learned that he has been using prescribed testosterone and I really don't have much knowledge about the medicine. What does it mean to his sexuality and what happens to his life/health down to the road.? He said he has low energy his whole life due to some thyroid hormone issue and if he doesn't get the hormone shots/gels, he would be low energy and depressed. Recently during an annual physical checkup, he is found having high blood pressure and the cause is the testosterone. Well, if the high blood pressure goes too high that means he needs to reduce or stop testosterone. Anyone has experience of using testosterone.? Can you share of of your knowledge.? Answers:
in men, testosterone is mainly made in the testes.

men who can not produce enough of their own may need to take testosterone as replacement. the goal is to replace only wha's missing and in this way is very safe and effective.

high blood pressure is an uncommon side effect and is usually due to another cause. in any case, your boyfriend should be trying to keep his levels within the mormal range to avoid any problems. Health Question & Answer

Testosterone is what makes men men. Its a hormone that affects much of our behaviour and what we have grown to look like. Some of it comes from the thyroid, so if that gland has been malfunctioning then it is understandable as to why he would need the supplements to keep his head straight and even want to make love to you.

If this is the cause of his HBP, then a reduction will be necessary, but only his doctor can tell him how much of a reduction, and also what else he's to take to reduce the blood pressure.
Best of luck to both of you.Health Question & Answer
