So since ive been hanging out with this kid?!

Question: So since ive been hanging out with this kid.?
i have put on some weight. He is on the chubby side he is like 115, and i was 105 when i first started hanging out with him and now im up to the same weight as him. I always go to his house, and he always has food out and when we finish he goes and gets more. And I eat even if i get full because i don't want to be like disrespectful or anything. So now im up to the same weight as him, and going up. Is it okay that im gaining a few extra pounds.? I don't really care that i am, its kind of entertaining because we are the same weight and we eat the same stuff and we can do stuff together that i wouldn't be able to do with anyone else. I don't really care as long as it doesn't get out of hand like i was flat stomached and now i have a sort of belly but as long as i dont start to get into the 130's ill be good. So is this fine.?Health Question & Answer

Uhm...well the one thing you need to be concerned about is the fact that it's always easy to gain weight, but the longer you wait to lose the weight, the harder it will be to lose it later.

If you're fine with the extra weight and don't mind being that way for a while then no it's not a big deal. I personally love skinny guys though lol.

But for the sounds of things, you're pretty young so no I wouldn't worry.

You obviously do have an issue with it because you've posted your question online.

To be healthy is always the true course.

First, take a step back and realize that you are eating to feel accepted and to feel like you belong. This may be a self-esteme issue.

My suggestion is this: Don't eat as much. Eating for the hell of it is not the way the body was designed. Your intake should only be what you NEED and then that is it. It is not rude to indicate that you have reached your limit. It is rude; however, to force someone to continue to eat just so you don't eat alone.

Your friend's eating habits may or may not be out of control, but your eating habits have changed to match his, that is a problem because it's not normal, FOR YOU.

So, yes, it's okay to be a little on the heavy side, but as one poster indicated, it is easy to gain weight, and it is hell to loose it. There will come a time in your life, when puberty spurts, when you will yearn to be thinner and more "washboard" stomach for the girls/boys.

The day will come.Health Question & Answer
