What will the doctor do monday?!

Question: What will the doctor do monday.?
Me and my boyfriend have been talking about having sex for about a year, and we have finally decided to do it.We are going to the doctor monday, and he will be getting a std test, and I will be subscribed birth control. He isn't a virgin, and I am.He decided to get a STD test, because he wants to make sure he doesn't have anything, that way he will not pass it on to me.We have thought long and hard about are decision, and we both agree to use all protection available,so don't pressure us on that.We were wanting to know, what will they do to him as far as testing goes, and will we be given the chance to ask any questions we have.

ignore the rude people... having sex is a big deal!

and its awesome that he cares about you enough to have a test done for you =D and your super responsible for getting birth control!

for his test they will probably have him pee in a cup and maybe take blood from him but idk.

you will be given ample time to ask questions.. you may want to write them down before time to make sure that you ask them all.. doctors won't make fun of you for it. theyll think your responsible.

They will draw blood and test it. The tests take 45-60 minutes and then he will be given the results. After he gets the results then, if you want, they will go over the results with both of you together. If there is a problem they will go over the options for treatment with him, both physical and if needed emotional.Health Question & Answer

They might make him pee in a cup. Not a big deal that's what they did to a friend of mine for his. Yes doctors actually encourage you to ask them any questions, including stupid seeming ones. Better safe than sorry.Health Question & Answer

yawn....you sound like an exciting couple talking about having sex for a whole year.
What ever happened to the pure crazy physical lust.?
I can't see how you can last as a couple if you are so planned about everything - for goodness sakes just act your age and rip his clothes off in a mad fit of passion!!!! lol

Kim - sex isn't a big deal, it's a natural act that can take minutes to perform - it's supposed to be about love and passion, not about reading a text book and conforming to rules and waiting a year.
I don't advocate sleeping around, but I also think planning the whole thing for 12 months is a little bit on the 'organised' side.Health Question & Answer
