What's wrong with my workout?!

Question: What's wrong with my workout.?
I've been working out for a couple of years. I've gained some muscles but it seems I'm not gaining anymore. What should i do.?Is it because I'm eating less.?If I eat more it still doesn't make any difference.I don't work out *that* hard and i also don't seem to be getting any abs. What is wrong.?I don't eat that much fat, usually just rice, vegies, fish and maybe sometimes beef. Health Question & Answer

It would really be useful to know how you are working out. Are you just doing cardio or are you using heavy weights.? If you want to make big gains you need to increase your food intake. Don't gorge yourself but add a few helpings every now and then. Protein is a muscle builder, incorporate it into your diet. If you don't like to eat meat then buy a protein powder from GNC. also peanut butter is full of protein and other vitamins. Another thing is if you are lifting weights, your body becomes used to doing the same exercises. You need to switch it up so your body is tricked into thinking it is doing something completely different. For instance if you are not gaining in bench press you should switch to chest fly and dumbbell bench. Then after a while you can switch back to bench press. The main thing is to push yourself and set goals such as increasing by 5 pounds in each exercise every 2 weeks. also one user suggested using No-Xplode, this is good if you are cautious and drink PLENTY of water with it. It is a creatine supplement that can give you an energy boost in the gym but I wouldn't really recommend it. If you are interested in it then you should ask someone at the gym or GNC about it. We all hit plateaus every once in a while but the main thing is to keep going to the gym and never give up. You will gain muscle if you push yourself and eat the right things.Health Question & Answer

Its probably coming from lack of protein. Try and get more meat, like beef etc., or nuts into your diet, and also you need to work out harder to see results. Try upping the weight a bit, so when you do a set of 10, the first 7 are easy, with growing difficulty, but the last 3 are VERY difficult.

As for abs, abs are based off a body fat percentage, and the way your body is made. Some people CANT get a 6 pack, due to their body structure. One thing you can try is eating VERY well, and doing a good amount of cardio work to get your body fat down, and THEN start doing crunches/sit-ups/leglift/leg raises... etc. for your ab workout.Health Question & Answer

depends on what your goal is. If you're trying to get "big" and nost just add some muscle bring in about 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per lb of weight you want to be. For example is you want to be 200, bring in about 300-400 grams of protein per day. You'' need protein shakes to help you out because there's only so much food you can eat in a day. Again if you're trying to get big just eat, east, and eat again until you can't eat no more. Stay away from brown rice and sweet potatos, they're excellent carbs when you're trying to stay trim when building muscle....but you're trying to bulk up quick....eat starchy carbs.

When it comes to proteins make sure you bring in red meats (for the creatine) about 3-4 per week and bring it down to 2 times a week when you reach your goal weight to stay trim. Remember to bring in some healthy fats to stay lubricated if you plan on working out hard, which it sounds like you're doing.

NO-Xplode works good as a pre-workout drink that will help you push a little harder at the gym.Health Question & Answer

Someone I know said it very clearly.

If you want the numbers on the scale to go up, eat more. If you want them to go down, eat less.

If you find you're gaining fat not muscle, you need to work out harder.

A 'bulking' meal plan might be as high as 4000-5000 calories per day.Health Question & Answer

If you eat less, your body presume that it is starving, so it starts burning muscle instead of fat. Eat protein ie tuna etc.Health Question & Answer
