you have to get a sterilized needle and pry the tip of it out of the skin and add an tri-antibiotic when your done to kill the bacterium that make it swell and get sore.Health Question & Answer
An ingrown hair is usually visible; either a small black dot, which is the hair, or a small deposit of puss (ewwwww, I hate that word!) That could also be a cyst, which is a deposit of things such as calcium. Cysts move around the body, and do not need to be removed unless they are halting the ability of a muscle or organ to work.Unfortunately, this could also be a tumor.Health Question & Answer
if it's an ingrown hair you would see the follicle without much trouble using a pointed tweezers... a big lump is most likely a boil... see a doctor to have it lanced...Health Question & Answer
It might also be a cyst.
