Will Clarithromycin and Amoxcillin tablets that I'm taking for H Pylori also kill my UTI?!
Question: Will Clarithromycin and Amoxcillin tablets that I'm taking for H Pylori also kill my UTI.?
I have developed itichiness in my bladder area, Acute pain at a little before the tip of urethra while urinating. And my urination is in two streams.
The pain while urinating becomes more severe whenever I have nocturnal emission. Even getting morning wood gives me pain in my penis.
Are these signs of UTI.? I was recently operated for perforation of ulcer and inserted with Foley Catheter for about 6 days.? During my stay at hospital i developed swelling in my penis, but Doctor said its ok.
If I do have an UTI will it be taken care by claritromycin and amoxicillin tablets I'm taking for H Pylori infection.? Or do I need to see a Doctor immediately.?
I'm calling, from India and visiting a doctor in a govt hospital is quite time consuming and might give me infections (as I have just had an operation 18 days ago).
And if clarithomycin and Amoxicillin will take care of UTI too, then what does it matter if I confirm whether I have it or not. If I have it it will be taken care of. Or are there other complications.?Health Question & Answer

yes,,, sounds like a uti... the penicillin will take care of it... amoxicillin... same thing ;-) if it's not gone in a week go back to the doctor for another prescription for an antibiotic

That's I know of Amox will kill everything so I think ur fine. I take my Amox for 10 days 3 times a day for strep throat. So I'm sure it will kill any other infection in ur body. I highly doubt that they'll dose u with another set of antibiotics. Its like killing ur system. To much is not good.Health Question & Answer
