Electric vs. regular razors?!
Question: Electric vs. regular razors.?
i don't care about speed or even closeness of shave, i just care about one thing... what is less irritating to the skin of a 16 year old boy a cheap electric razor ( about $30-40) or standard 3-4-5 blade razors.?.?
which one should i use just based on SKIN IRRITATION and WHICH GIVES YOUR FACE MORE BUMPS/CUTS.?.?.?Health Question & Answer

actually get one of the 3 blade regular razors and shave in the shower as often as needed. probably every other day to start. Both electric and the 5 blade razors can lead to skin irritation and bumps because they shave the hair off too close (5 blade) or pull the hair out (electric). the pores and hair follicles then get clogged and presto you get acne and bumps. Shaving in the shower softens your hair up better and you do a better job of getting all the shaving cream/gel and razor residue off your face. (also leads to clogged pores) DON'T USE CHEAP RAZORS---EVER! I had this problem all through high school and even into college and this helps alot. In fact this is still how I shave and i am 33--I do have to shave every day now. Best of luck.Health Question & Answer
well im 19 now, but i started shaving since like 15 with a regular razor, i cutted my self once in a while but the irritation became worse every year, until i was 18 i used an electric razor and WALA no more cuts and very little irritation.
that's just me and my skin, every person reacts differently.
i say you try the electric one and you decide cause maybe youre skin will react different than mine.Health Question & Answer

I use the Gillette Fusion Power with 5 blades. Only one cut after a month shaving every other day. Make sure you have the Gillette Fusion Hydra Gel for ultra sensitive skin as your shaving cream. It helps to use a facial scrub before you shave. DON'T go with generic shave gel or razors. I had an experience with generics involving many cuts.Health Question & Answer
Somewhat depends on your skin. I get less irritation from a blade. However, blades vary a lot. The schick 2 blade is pretty good, as is the gillete fusion (but lots more expensive).Health Question & Answer
