I've recently lost about 45lbs this past year. Never had this problem before, but now when I'm outside in the cold my nipples hurt.

You're fine, the loss in fat means less insulation. Less insulation means your breasts get colder faster and when that happens, the skin contracts (thats why your arm gets bumpy when it's cold) and causes the pain in your nipples (which have a high concentration of nerves)Health Question & Answer
