Question: When i wipe my bum i see blood.?
today when i took a dump i had diarha (srry cant spell it) and when i wipe the first time i see blood but it didn't hurt or anything. im worry if this happen again.
also i like umm pooped it into pieces not like a long normal one and that been happening for a while how can i poop normally.?Health Question & Answer

ANY persistent rectal (bum) bleeding should be referred to a doctor for proper diagnosis.
It could be something harmless... like a blood vessel that breaks and bleeds when you poop (eg a haemorrhoid) or a persistent wound that open up (anal fissure)... OR it could be something serious such as bowel cancer.
Generally if the blood is bright red and on the surface of the stool, it is most likely to be caused by a haemorrhoid or anal fissure. Blood that is dark, or within the stool itself, is coming from further up the rectal passage and is more likely to be serious.
DO NOT use this advice as an excuse NOT to see a doctor. Rectal bleeding is serious and self-diagnosis is dangerous. If you continue to bleed you should DEFINATELY see a doctor. If he thinks it's necessary he will refer you to a specialist.. a bum doctor .. and they will do some tests. Colonoscopy is sometimes recommended to check for cancer.
If you have a haemorrhoid or anal fissure you are more likely to bleed if passing a stool is difficult. To help soften your stools make sure you have lots of fibre in your diet - take fibre supplements if necessary. Go to the toilet regularly and DON
