I'm feeling a little lightheaded and this is my first chiropractic treatment. Is it safe to exercise.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
Anything that tenses the back/core muscles is a bad idea immediately after an adjustment. Yoga would be the best thing to do along with steam or hot tub.Health Question & Answer
It's safe to go for a run before, during, and after the "massage". Chiropractic adjustment! Wow. People sure are gullible.
I hurt my back real bad one time and went to a chiropractor. As I was sitting in the waiting room the door to the backroom opened up and I heard the "doc" telling some old guy that he was able to "adjust" two of the nerves back into place but he would have to come back a week later (big surprise there) to get the rest back into place.
Then it was my turn. He asked me what was wrong as we walked back. I told him I threw my back out at work. He put me on a heat/black light table. Five minutes later he put me on a table with rolling pins moving under my back. Twenty minutes later he put me on a standard table. He checked out every inch of my back with his fingers and then put a knew on my back and cracked me. IT HURT!!
Then he did it again after turning my head the other way. On the way out the door I will never forget the pain I was in. It hurt way more than before. Then he said those famous words.....that he was "able to "adjust" two of the nerves back into place" but I "would have to come back a week later (big surprise there) to get the rest back into place."
I said okay and never went to a chiropractor again. What two bit phonies. Only good for a message and I can go downtown and get one of those for a lot less money.
They are not accepted into the AMA and I can see why. They didn't Xray me and just started treating me. I was in an assembly line. The only FACT that I knew was that they would want me to come back. Don't they ever "adjust"" somebody and tell them there's no need to come back.? Answer....NOPE.
