Question: What do I do, my ear is infected.?
I got a second hole piercing in my ear about a year ago. It's been kind of off and on infected ever since. And, I've noticed that when you feel around the whole, it feels swollen... like there's something in there! I've cleaned it with alcohol swabs and put neosporin in, and even tried squeezing whatever it is that's in my ear out, but if it could be squeezed out, it would've. What's wrong with me.? It doesn't really hurt if you don't mess with it, but last night it started bleeding... what do I do.?Health Question & Answer

If it is infected it would be warm to the touch. Does it feel warm. It would also be tender to the touch. If it is warm and tender you might try some peroxide two times a day. If it is infected you might even see pus. Otherwise, if it just feels like it is hard inside it could be scar tissue. Depending the angle of the piercing some have more scar tissue than others.Health Question & Answer
