I took probably about 4 months for things to taste like normal again after the transplant.
First and foremost, make sure you dont have thrush. I had a lot of problems with thrush and that can effect taste.
Some people are sensitive to metal tastes, if this is a problem for you try eating with plastic utensils instead of metal.
Beyond that, there isnt really much you can do.Health Question & Answer

Unfortunately you just have to wait. The chemo damaged the nerves to your taste buds and these have to regenerate. This is done at about 1 mm per day, so in case of taste buds (say 6 inches form the brain is 150mm) this would take at least 5-6 months before healing starts. There is also no guarantee how much will return.Health Question & Answer
I had raditation in the neck area. It took two months before the awful food taste to go away and three months for complete restoration.
