how long does it take for a urine chlamydia test to return back from the lab, does it make a diff if the results are negative or positive....will it being negative make it come back quicker...or it being positive make it take any longer..Health Question & Answer

It all depends on where you got your test done at. I got mine at a clinic. I found out 9 days after I took the test that I tested positive for Chlamydia. I had an appointment for 4 weeks after I took the test to "review my results". So, if you are negative, you most likely wont get any phone call. If positive, expect it anywhere between 1-2 weeks. Usually closer to a week because it can cause infertility and they want to get you treated as soon as possible.

The people who claim the results happen in a day are wrong. The results have to be sent to a lab and depending on your results, it is sent back to the clinic or doctors office right away (positive result) or it will just sit in the lab for a few days (negative). If you don't get a phone call, your fine. And even if you are positive for it, its curable and definitely not the end of the world. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

Positive or Negative it only takes 30 minutes for the test to be completed. If you haven't you should also look in getting a BDS (Batcterial Vaginosis) screening cause the urine test will not show it all. The BDS screening is more precise and will show all the bacteria that urine wont.Health Question & Answer
